Sea Trials Successful for New PTZ-16 Camera!
Yesterday saw completion of the final sea trial stage of our brand new, all singing, all dancing PTZ-16 camera. And what better way to put the feature packed miniature pan, tilt, zoom camera through it's paces than wait for a horrible, windy day, strap it to a rib and thrash around the solent, smashing through bumps and waves and generally giving it a really hard time!
Managing Director (and part time Rib Pilot) Tony Digweed announced, " Before the launch of our DND-60 fixed mini-dome we were gripped with excitement because we knew we had exactly what our customers had been asking for, and since then the 60 has become our best selling camera. The feeling now with the PTZ-16 is even greater, as customers have been asking since day-one for a small, rugged, fully controllable camera. Well it's here at last and we can confirm it's ready to rock and roll!".
The camera is small enough to grip with one hand and can be flush or panel mounted. On Board control is via a small joystick and keypad and remote control of the camera is available via an internet or wireless connection. The PTZ-16 really is a fantastically compact and powerful product.
Rib owner, and all round marvellous fellow, Dave Freeman from Aztec Marine in Hamble, couldn't take his hands off of the controller and immediately recognised the potential of the product on motor boats and sail boats of practically any size.
Following the launch of the PTZ-16 Iris are working on a Thermal Image version, expected for release late summer. More information on this will appear as and when available.
